The EMB 500 Phenom 100 administrative aircraft was created by the Brazilian company Embraer and took off for the first time on July 26, 2007.
In 2008 the National Civil Aviation Agency in Brazil issued a type certificate for the Phenom 100 from Embraer.
It took less than four years from the beginning of Phenom100 development to the handing over of the certificate. The calculated maximum range at the beginning of Phenom100 design was 2148km, during the certification tests a range of 2182km with NBAAIFR fuel reserves and 4 passengers was achieved. The climb rate at increased ambient temperatures exceeded the design values. The certification tests showed the landing distance to be 823 m, 92 m less than the design value.
Powered by two PW617FE engines, the Phenom100 also exceeded fuel efficiency, even by 3.6 percent on long hauls. Airspeed was also higher than designed. The aircraft is unrestrictedly certified, it can fly at night and daytime, in icy conditions. The Phenom100 complies with ICAO Chapter IV requirements in terms of noise level.
