The Bombardier Global 6500 is, as the name suggests, part of the Global family of aircraft. The Bombardier Global family of aircraft can trace its origins back to the Bombardier Global Express aircraft. Originally announced in October 1991, the first flight took place 5 years later.
The Global 6500 was announced alongside the Global 5500 aircraft in May 2018, with hopes for the aircraft to enter service at the end of the next year.
