The Dassault Falcon 20 is a French administrative jet that was one of the first models in the family of business jets produced by the French aircraft manufacturing company Dassault Aviation.

Dassault and Aerospatiale (formerly called Sud-Avation) began to develop an aircraft with two turbojet engines. Assembly of the prototype began in January 1962 and the aircraft made its first flight on May 4, 1963. The aircraft received the double name Mystere-Falcon 20 (Mystere in France and Falcon for export sales). On January 1, the first flight of the production model, designated Standart Falcon 20, took place.
The plane was a free-floating lowplane with a swept wing and fins, a circular fuselage, retractable three-anchor landing gear and two Pratt & Whitney JTF12A-8 turbojet engines. The model was later re-equipped with General Electric CF700 turbofan engines, which became the standard powerplant. In North America, these machines were sold under the name Fan Jet Falcon.

Over several years, modifications Falcon20C, Falcon20D, Falcon20E, Falcon20F, Falcon20G were developed and produced successively, differing by the engines installed. The latest was the Falcon200 (originally Falcon 20H), equipped with even more advanced engines and larger fuel tanks. It made its maiden flight on April 30, 1980. By 1989, 35 aircrafts had been delivered to 11 countries.
