The cost of a private flight

The air broker can tell the final cost of a private flight from Italy to European countries or other foreign countries only after determining the key parameters of the flight. The price of the flight depends on:

  • The planned number of passengers;
  • Business jet class. The cost is affected by the capacity of the aircraft, its cruising speed, the level of equipment on board, the flight range without refueling, fuel consumption, the year of production of the liner, and other factors;
  • Flight season – it is more profitable to rent a business jet in advance before the start of the holiday season since the increasing demand for the service increases its cost, and the number of available aircraft significantly decreases;
  • Flight route and distance;
  • Duration of parking on the territory of the destination airport. Business jets are often immediately rented in both directions for business flights. In this case, the cost of the service includes parking and maintenance of the aircraft at the point of arrival;
  • Service level. The cost of the flight can be increased if it is necessary to organize escort, security or to fulfill individual orders of the client, such as buying tickets for events, renting housing, etc.

After clarifying all the nuances of the flight, you will sign a contract. It will prescribe the final cost of the business jet flight. It will change only if the customer has changed the departure date, increased the number of passengers, or made other significant adjustments.

Stages of preparation for flight on the King Air 90

After submitting the application, the organization of the flight takes place in 4 stages:

  1. The first is flight planning. Flight requests are sent, and private planes suitable for the client's requirements are selected. As a rule, initially, we send 3-6 options to the client. If one of them responds to you, we will book a business jet, and if not, we will adjust and continue the search. The technical department deals with security issues, and the legal department controls all the international subtleties of flight organization;
  2. A contract is concluded with the client. The contract prescribes the duties and responsibilities of the parties, the date of departure, the level of service, additional services. It is mandatory to indicate the cost of the flight and payment terms;
  3. The third stage involves providing a flight. The team of air brokers responsible for the organization of the flight repeatedly checks requests for take-off and landing of aircraft and for parking at the airport. Specialists are also responsible for receiving slots, submitting requests to aviation services, to VIP halls, catering on board, transfer;
  4. The fourth stage is the private flight itself. A personal aviation consultant is engaged in passenger registration, ordering passes. The broker has all the relevant information about the status of the flight and will help you go through all the procedures in an accelerated version.

The service is considered completed only after passengers land at the airport and pass all customs procedures. In almost every European airport, we have our own employees who are able to provide assistance and promptly solve any difficulties that arise.

The Beech Model 90 King Air is a light multipurpose aircraft developed by the American firm Beech Aircraft. In 1963 Beech began flight tests of the aircraft, which was later designated BeechQueenAir Model6580. It was regarded as an extension of the QueenAir aircraft type, and was developed for the U.S. Army as a general cargo or staff aircraft. There was some confusion over its designation, since the QueenAir 80 and 65 were still in production. So the aircraft was temporarily designated Model 6590T (the T stands for "turboprop"). Then another step was taken to clarify the situation, and all QueenAir aircraft with turboprop engines were renamed KingAir.

cabin Beechcraft King Air 90

As a result, the 6590T became the prototype for the Beech Model 90 King Air series, or more accurately, the prototype for the King Air military unpressurized aircraft. After the first flight of Model 6590T, a civilian version was designed with a pressurized cabin. Its production model under the designation Model90 King Air first flew 20.01.1964.

These aircraft marked the beginning of the 3,000th King Air series. Tests of model 6590T conducted by the U.S. Army (it was designated there NU8F) demonstrated full compliance with all necessary requirements. As a result, the first order for 48 aircraft under the designation U21A followed. The aircraft could carry a crew of 2 and 10 soldiers, or 6-8 commanding officers, or 3 stretchers. The seats could be easily taken off and a place for cargo weighing up to 1,361 kg could be made available. The first deliveries of serial U21A Ute began on May 16, 1967. Eventually contracts followed and more than 160 machines were built. Among them were U21A models, RU21A/RU21D models with Pratt & WhitneyCanadaPT6A20 turboprop engines with 550 hp and RU21B/RU21C/RU21E models with PT6A29 engines, 620 hp.

The RU21 was specially designed for operation in Southeast Asia, as an electronic reconnaissance aircraft. It had a set of antennas and sensors on the fuselage and, inside, appropriate avionics systems and communication and navigation systems that ensured all-weather operation. The RU21B and RU21C were designated by Beech as Model65A902 and Model65A903 respectively, while the U21G designation was given to 17 aircraft which were designed for the U.S. Air Force and were similar to the U21A.

Deliveries of the civilian version of the 90KingAir, which had a pressurized cabin and up to ten seats, including the pilot, began in late 1964. In early 1966, this aircraft was superseded by the KingAirA90 model, which was equipped with more powerful PT6A20 engines. One of these aircraft was used by the military under the code VC6A.

Following the A90 model was the King Air B 90, which had minor improvements, and in September 1970 the King Air C 90, which installed more advanced cabin heating and air conditioning systems. The C90 was in series production during 1982, with approximately 1,000 of these machines produced. One of them, coded VC6B, was also in service with the USAF. Since its introduction the C90 was continually improved, it was equipped with PT6A21 engines.

How do I book a Beechcraft King Air 90 for a private flight?

If you want to rent a Beechcraft King Air 90 private jet, use the online form on the website or contact our operators in any way convenient for you (phone, email, or messengers). Italian Private Jets air brokers will be happy to answer all your questions and help you book this aircraft in the layout you need. Our databases contain business jets of this model of various years of production - the most recent aircraft released this year are available to customers. However, it should be borne in mind that the newer the aircraft is, the higher its flight cost will be. At the same time, if you were offered a five- or even ten-year-old King Air 90, do not be afraid. Private planes undergo very thorough maintenance, and such an age of the liner does not in any way affect the level of flight safety. Many customers use the analogy with cars - the older it is, the more it will break. This is partly true, but the level of service and technical standards of business jets are radically different. We offer you only 100% proven options. Therefore, air brokers often offer models which are 5-10 years old in order to save your budget and make the flight more financially profitable. However, if you want to fly exclusively on the new Beechcraft King Air 90 - no problem, we will find a suitable option and help you book it.

The King Air 90 is the first variant of the original King Air design and is one of the most mass-produced twin-turboprop aircraft. The King Air C90GTx variant has increased range and fuel efficiency and is an ideal way to transport more price-sensitive passengers, while combining versatility, comfort and quality.

In the early summer of 1972, the King Air E90 was introduced, marking the beginning of an expansion of the King Air 90 family. Largely similar to its predecessor, it had more powerful PT6A-28 turboprops with 550 hp efficiency and remained in mass production until 1990. In 1976, Beech signed a contract with the U.S. Navy for an improved trainer aircraft designated T-44A, which sort of combined the features of the C90 and E90.

The last in this family was the Model F90 Super King Air, deliveries of which began in mid-1979. It combined the tight fuselage of the Model 90, wing and tail end of models 100 and 200, respectively. The thrust was created by two RT6A-135 engines, which drove four-bladed, low-speed propellers that provided much lower noise levels in the cockpit. When production of the F90 ended on the 231st aircraft, construction of the C90 continued. By early 1989, 1,415 examples of this aircraft were delivered with lower horizontal tail.
