The cost of a private flight

The air broker can tell the final cost of a private flight from Italy to European countries or other foreign countries only after determining the key parameters of the flight. The price of the flight depends on:

  • The planned number of passengers;
  • Business jet class. The cost is affected by the capacity of the aircraft, its cruising speed, the level of equipment on board, the flight range without refueling, fuel consumption, the year of production of the liner, and other factors;
  • Flight season – it is more profitable to rent a business jet in advance before the start of the holiday season since the increasing demand for the service increases its cost, and the number of available aircraft significantly decreases;
  • Flight route and distance;
  • Duration of parking on the territory of the destination airport. Business jets are often immediately rented in both directions for business flights. In this case, the cost of the service includes parking and maintenance of the aircraft at the point of arrival;
  • Service level. The cost of the flight can be increased if it is necessary to organize escort, security or to fulfill individual orders of the client, such as buying tickets for events, renting housing, etc.

After clarifying all the nuances of the flight, you will sign a contract. It will prescribe the final cost of the business jet flight. It will change only if the customer has changed the departure date, increased the number of passengers, or made other significant adjustments.

  • parking at the following airports;
  • accommodation of crew members in a hotel (if necessary);
  • fast customs and passport control services.

The cost of renting an airplane does not include:

  • extension of airport opening hours if necessary;
  • de-icing treatment of the aircraft.

online booking of flights

Stages of preparation for flight on the A500

After submitting the application, the organization of the flight takes place in 4 stages:

  1. The first is flight planning. Flight requests are sent, and private planes suitable for the client's requirements are selected. As a rule, initially, we send 3-6 options to the client. If one of them responds to you, we will book a business jet, and if not, we will adjust and continue the search. The technical department deals with security issues, and the legal department controls all the international subtleties of flight organization;
  2. A contract is concluded with the client. The contract prescribes the duties and responsibilities of the parties, the date of departure, the level of service, additional services. It is mandatory to indicate the cost of the flight and payment terms;
  3. The third stage involves providing a flight. The team of air brokers responsible for the organization of the flight repeatedly checks requests for take-off and landing of aircraft and for parking at the airport. Specialists are also responsible for receiving slots, submitting requests to aviation services, to VIP halls, catering on board, transfer;
  4. The fourth stage is the private flight itself. A personal aviation consultant is engaged in passenger registration, ordering passes. The broker has all the relevant information about the status of the flight and will help you go through all the procedures in an accelerated version.

The service is considered completed only after passengers land at the airport and pass all customs procedures. In almost every European airport, we have our own employees who are able to provide assistance and promptly solve any difficulties that arise.

In fact, what makes it necessary to continue experimenting with twin-engine schemes? Certainly not speed. The twin-engine planes were never really made with a focus on speed, and all their achievements in this field are rather the costs of the genre, due to the presence of a second engine. At the same time, the increase in speed has a direct impact on the cost of a flight hour in terms of fuel and maintenance.

The A500 pre-production prototype is a U-shaped monoplane fitted with two 6-cylinder Teledyne Continental Motors TSIO-550-E turbocharged piston engines, each producing 350 horsepower. The rear engine is cooled through two upper air intakes at the rear of the fuselage. The airframe structure is made mainly of composites with extensive use of carbon fiber, which, among other things, allowed to provide a good aerodynamics of the fuselage, important to reduce the differences in the operating conditions of the front and rear propeller groups. All surfaces of the aircraft are very smooth. The wingtips and horizontal tail are made easily removable for quick PIC installation (optional). Following the prevailing trend in recent years, Adam Aircraft has abandoned pneumatic actuators in favor of electric ones. Therefore, each engine is equipped with a 100-amp alternator, and there are two batteries as well. In the event of an engine failure or generator breakdown, the automation will shut down the secondary consumers, while the remaining generator will provide recharging for both batteries without shutting down the main consumers.

The cabin of the A500 has seats for 6 passengers, the fuselage, like the M-309, is sealed and equipped with effective noise insulation. In any case, even a prototype plane, equipped with a partial interior, noise is much less than the Skymaster, although the tandem placement of engines, in theory, should produce significant acoustic resonance inside the fuselage. Apparently, the creators of the A500 solved this problem. But since the final equipment of the passenger cabin depends one way or another on the personal preferences of the operator, let us consider the pilot's cabin, where the most interesting things are concentrated.

The first copy of the A500 differs in equipment from the production machines, but the main features can already be seen. One of the main features is the side control knobs, which allow you to pilot the aircraft with the movement of your hand. The engines are controlled by means of two levers, in the use of which the pilot must get used to perceiving the front VMG as the left one and the rear one as the right one. (By the way, the same principle underlies the operation of the fuel system: the front engine is fed from the left wing tank group, and the rear one from the right wing tank group). The instruments for controlling the engines are arranged in two groups: the upper one for the front engine, and the lower one for the rear engine. The instrumentation of the flight and navigation group of pilots are still pointer (they are added only two LCD indicators), but the production machines will be fully "glass" panel - multifunctional color display GNS 530. Already installed avionics equipment includes a Garmin S-Tec 55 autopilot, Vision Microsystems 1000 engine management system, GPS navigation system and GTX 327 responder. The cockpit is also equipped with a GMA 340 Audio Panel.

The A500 flies great: two 350 hp engines, which is significant for an airplane with a takeoff weight of 2,860 kg. - This is significant for an airplane with a takeoff weight of 2860 kg. The A500 has the highest power-to-weight ratio in its class - 0.24hp/kg (4kg/hp), which provides excellent acceleration and high rate of climb. Anyway, the required runway length for the A500 is less than that of most "classmates", even with a larger wing area. It can reach heights of 170km/h with a vertical speed of up to 9m/s (!) and with a vertical speed limited to 7m/s, it has a horizontal speed of up to 220km/h. Impressive. Add to this the excellent performance of the pressurized cabin charge system, and it turns out that it is advantageous to "drive" this plane to a practical ceiling of 7600 m even with a "shoulder" of about 450 km. In general, the fuel capacity of 860 liters at a consumption rate of 160 liters per hour provides flight time in cruise mode 4.5 hours (plus ANZ), which amounts to 1850 km. In economy mode these figures are 5.5 hours and 2200 km. Cruising speed at an altitude of 3,500 m is 370 km / h, when reducing the engine mode to 50% speed decreases to 305 km / h. The TSIO-550-E engine maintains power corresponding to the altitude up to 5300 m, which makes it realistic to reach a cruising speed of 420 km/h at an altitude of 6700 m.

The stability and handling characteristics of the A500 are fully in line with the single-engine machines that everyone who flew the Skymaster enjoyed so much back in the day. Turning off one engine only reduces speed and increases the angle of attack, but does not affect piloting. All those who flew the A500 for the first time with the test pilot Glenn Maben were especially impressed by the engine choke on a turn: making a right turn with a 60° bank, the pilot pulled the right throttle... A usual twin-engine plane would have turned over on its back in that situation in no time!

A stall on the A500 in any configuration would not be unexpected to the pilot unless he is asleep. Even with the control stick fully selected, stall occurs smoothly, with informative pre-stall jolt, and is terminated by recoil of the stick.

Landing approach, depending on technique, can be performed at speeds between 166 and 260 km/h, with a landing speed of 130 km/h. In principle, the landing speed can be higher (up to 160 km/h), but then the landing distance will be long: the A500 is very volatile, and it will take too long to reach the landing speed.

The base version of the A500 is priced at $895,000 and a little over $1.15 million - after interior trimming and additional equipment. Is it much or not enough for a person, who is ready to spend a million? Of course, everyone decides in his own way, but taking into account the fact that the A500 is faster than competitors at least 40 km/h, has excellent controllability and, most importantly, is unbeatable in terms of safety, this aircraft has interested a lot of people. Probably it is too early to speak about A500 appearance in Russia, but the demand of Russian aviation for good modern airplanes has clearly showed, and why not? All in good time.

How do I book a AdamJet A500 for a private flight?

If you want to rent a AdamJet A500 private jet, use the online form on the website or contact our operators in any way convenient for you (phone, email, or messengers). Italian Private Jets air brokers will be happy to answer all your questions and help you book this aircraft in the layout you need. Our databases contain business jets of this model of various years of production - the most recent aircraft released this year are available to customers. However, it should be borne in mind that the newer the aircraft is, the higher its flight cost will be. At the same time, if you were offered a five- or even ten-year-old A500, do not be afraid. Private planes undergo very thorough maintenance, and such an age of the liner does not in any way affect the level of flight safety. Many customers use the analogy with cars - the older it is, the more it will break. This is partly true, but the level of service and technical standards of business jets are radically different. We offer you only 100% proven options. Therefore, air brokers often offer models which are 5-10 years old in order to save your budget and make the flight more financially profitable. However, if you want to fly exclusively on the new AdamJet A500 - no problem, we will find a suitable option and help you book it.

The Adam A500 AdamJet is a civil passenger airplane most commonly used for commercial flights. This six-seat aircraft has been in production relatively recently, since 2005, due to which the popularity of its use is rather low, although pilots are attracted by the good technical characteristics of the aircraft.

In designing the aircraft Adam A500 AdamJet American aircraft engineers mainly tried to create an aircraft that would not only be inferior in performance to modern business aircraft, but would be inexpensive. Nevertheless, the popularity of the passenger aircraft came into question after the aircraft manufacturers decided to equip the aircraft with a piston engine, instead of the jet engine, which has already become customary for such aircraft, due to which, the oriented sector has not lived up to its expectations, and the aircraft was conditionally reclassified as a regular private aircraft.

Most of the aircraft are currently in service in the United States, however, not as a business aircraft, but as a short-haul aircraft or as an air cab.
